A new ongoing narrative map campaign has taken off at MiniWarGaming, and features dozens of realmscape rules, territory control, and Anvil of Apotheosis! Players can apply to attend and play on the renowned gaming studio/network’s tables in Welland ON, Canada, and have their own games and models on camera!
The Lost City of Nulbaruk Has Returned…
In the Age of Myth, the legendary wizard Thalador delved deep into the mysteries of the magics that created the realms themselves. His power was unmatched, and he created the enchanted city of Nulbaruk that spanned all eight realms.
Many coveted this power, including the jealous gods. But Thalador was untouchable, and those who dared to challenge him were destroyed. However, the gods’ envy would be Thalador’s undoing. They wove a curse that hurled the city into the aether, lost from all the realms forever.
Now, rumors have surfaced that the Lost City of Nulbaruk has returned. A ruinous shadow of its former self, with only the wizard’s tower standing tall at its center. The city has manifested in four realms, including the Realm of Fire, Shadow, Beasts, and Metal.
Four alliances now move their forces to claim the Lost City, and all the secrets that lie within.
MiniWarGaming have always been known for showcasing unique narrative mini-campaigns, and amazingly set up tables. In their narrative games and campaigns, they have shown how to make use of rules and be creative in the games you can set up.
It’s been a great example of how to express our creativity via this wargame, and use the rules of Age of Sigmar in different ways.
This time, the bar has been raised with a HUGE uniquely detailed hex map, showcasing the regions players will be fighting over… and with a FULL suite of narrative rules to accompany it, for every region! And as always, a high value production with amazing battlefields, camera shots and unique character or location stories.
It even asks players to make and bring their own converted unique Anvil of Apotheosis Hero!
To play in it, and participate in MWG’s recorded games, you can apply on their website, and make a mark on the campaign. The MWG facilities are in Welland, ON Canada, and you can arrange for an overnight stay at their Bunker suites for a fully immersive experience!

How to apply as a guest in the campaign.
There are two important rules that you should know before you come:
- No named characters (no matter how weak or powerful) – We’re carving out a story in our own part of the realms, far away from the canon that Games Workshop decides.
- We encourage you to create a custom leader for your army using the Anvil of Apotheosis rules by Games Workshop;
- This should be used with a unique kitbashed or 3d printed model, and not a preexisting model
- Try using this awesome tool by samuelthebrave to make your character – make sure you use the Anvil of Ghur rules as they are the ones that are allowed in this campaign
