2024’s Animosity Weekender is taking place now, with both a Global Narrative Event available to players worldwide and in-person events at the Las Vegas Open (LVO) kicking off Friday, January 19th!
Players are able to support the march of colossa-boss Mogrek Logblade as he rampages up the Ur-River toward Azyr, or the desperate delaying action mounted by aelf commander Atressa Redhand. Online players can collaborate and strategize with their teammates on Discord across four “Narrative Paths”, while the fifth Path is exclusive to those playing in-person across three days of AOS and Warcry at LVO. Each team must win at least 3 of the 5 Paths to claim final victory, leaving LVO as a crucial battle to determine the very future of Animosity Campaigns… where Narrative comes to Play!

The story follows the conclusion of last year’s Animosity V: The Fated Blade, where the mythical gigantic orruk Mogrek Longblade, which was secretly imprisoned in the island of Frorholm, was once more unleashed upon the Realms. He awakened his dormant legion of rogue idols of Gorkamorka, and now marches unopposed up the Ur-River, the realmgate that connects across the Realms, bridging them one by one.
As usual for Animosity Campaigns, players sign up for a Coalition, and choose one of several Narrative Paths to put their army’s efforts towards, in favor of their coalition.
The Weekender is currently ongoing online, with Coalitions fervently plotting in their secret Discord channel in the Animosity Campaigns server.
Will the armies of Atressa Redhand slow down the gigantic Mogrek and his relentless march of stone idols, or will they be forced to retreat, leaving the Iscarneth Ceraphate exposed and unprepared to deal with the threat?

The Location players will fight over this time will be the Ashfall Delta, in the Real of Fire.
The fight will rage across the many islands of this place, with Narrative Paths and missions spread all throughout for players to pick where they wish to send their forces.
The Result of this weekender event will decide the story of the next Animosity Campaigns installment for the summer of 2024: Animosity VI – Shattered Dominion.

Exclusive to this Animosity Weekender, the fight over the central island will take place among players attending the Las Vegas Open Age of Sigmar and Warcry narrative events, contributing to the main event that is happening between players all over the world.

Rolling Thunder AoS Narrative event
This will be a 3-day event, complete with unique tables, Realm rules, Anvil of Apotheosis custom character and relics that be discovered by players during the event.

Players will bring a 1000pts army and a 1200pt “sideboard”, from which they can draw units in different combinations to their main army. Their main army will increase in size from 1000 to 2000 pts slowly across the 6 games of the event.

Players in each coalition will also vote for a Grand Marshall and a Scryer Scout among their number.
The Grand Marshal will be responsible for directing players to tables and making rolls for their team, while the Scryer Scout is responsible for revealing battlefield conditions across the map.

Just like in Animosity mechanics, players in the live event will also have Narrative Paths to choose. They will be given coins for playing each of their battles, with bonus coins given for winning battles or writing a short written narrative report.
These coins they can apply to Narrative Paths, representing the strategic choices of the players and its weight, which will grant their coalition bonuses or penalties to their opponents.

Rolling Thunder Warcry Narrative after-hours
Complementing the AoS 3-day event, on the night of Friday 19th, the Warcry narrative will take teams of player warbands on missions to aid the armies marching on the island of Heartpyre Nar.

It is a relaxed doubles event, where players will be paired in groups of two from the same team, to face the other team’s pair of warband.
